Silverdale Retail Centre opens

Spread over 3 days leading into the weekend, the newly constructed Silverdale Centre was officially opened for business on 18 October by Sir Stephen Tindall. The $60m development was a joint venture between The Warehouse and Countdown (Progressive Enterprises), with a total of 36 businesses taking up residence including Warehouse Stationery, Beds R Us, ANZ, Walker and Hall, North Beach, Macpac, t&t Childrenswear, OPSM, BNZ, The Design Store, Storage Box, Supercheap Auto, Number One Shoes, Postie, Stirling Sports, Noel Leeming and Mozaik Cafe.
